Fearing the Big C
Cancer – a word many people fear they will hear. It is an overwhelming word when first heard in a diagnostic setting.
But, there is hope. Cancer treatments continuously improve and we pray for the day when it will be totally eradicated. For now, when we receive that news, you can have hope. At HopeCircle we have a Cancer Support Group which will meet on the third Tuesday of every month through October. Who better to walk along beside those with cancer than people who have had it or do have it? These people best understand the emotions that go along with the chemotherapy, the radiation, the surgeries and a new normal.
No one needs to take this journey alone. Join us from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on the third Tuesday of the month at HopeCircle in the NEA Baptist Fowler Family Center for Cancer Care to hear stories of hope. Learn activities that help one cope. Be strengthened and encouraged by the courage and tenacity of others that will teach us how to LIVE and embrace life.
