National Cancer Survivor Day

On June 2 the Fowler Family Center for Cancer Care, the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation and our volunteers will join communities all over America in celebrating our cancer survivors.  Our party will be at the Valley View Church of Christ from 1:00-2:30.  We will have free bbq, cake, music and much laughter and joyful visits.  If you are a survivor, we invite you to bring your family and join us as we honor you and salute your progress in your cancer journey.

Who is a cancer survivor?  How long after your diagnosis should you wait to declare survivorship?

For many, survivorship begins the day of diagnosis.  For some it is the day of surgery or the first treatment.  Others don’t start feeling like a survivor until they have completed treatment.  Wherever you are on your path, we want to celebrate, encourage and urge you on.

While very day is a gift and reason to give thanks and count our blessings, National Cancer Survivors Day is extra special.  On Sunday, June 2, we join the rest of the nation in throwing a party to show how grateful we are for our survivors and for the blessings they have been for all of us in the NEA Baptist family.

We invite you to join us as we Celebrate Survivorship…….
